I was talking to my daughter yesterday about trying a new sport she has never done before and is not confident in. She said she knew she wouldn’t be any good and worried people would laugh when she never won an event, but she kind of wanted to try it anyway. I told her no one ever starts something new and just happens to be magically GOOD at it. You have to try, work hard, fail, and try again. I reminded her that the point of it wasn’t to be good, it was to do something new and challenging. 🤔 .It made me reflect on my own health and fitness journey. And many who I have chatted with along the way. We as adults say (or think!) the SAME thing my 12 year old does; why would I want to do something I may fail at? And yet we tell our children to do just that!! Change and progress never happens if we don’t try. Even if it’s scary. But doing nothing never helps!! Why are we so afraid to do something we may not be perfect at (ME included!) ? .I have a new accountability group starting next week and would love for you to join me!!! Who is in? 🏼‍♀️ It’s free, any workout goes. It’s just a way for you to stick to your goals while getting support, staying accountable AND helping provide support and inspiration to others along the way!! I know, doing something new is scary but if my 12 year old can do it so can YOU!!! 🏼🏼🏼
