The run: I got off my bike and my hamstring hurt so badly I could hardly walk. So it took a mile or so before it loosened up and I felt like I got into a decent groove. Once that happened I felt pretty good the first 7 miles. The course is around the lake we swam in and most of it is a dirt trail and shaded, which was amazing!! So beautiful. But by mile 8 my stomach wasn’t happy with me and I had to stop at a lot of (TMI?). I got frustrated and let the negative self-talk creep in. Why am I doing this? I suck at running. I’m not a good athlete. I didn’t train hard enough. …..I tried pushing these thoughts aside but I had lost my stream and the last 6 miles weren’t easy. My watch died so I don’t know what my pace was, nor do I really care to know. But a learning experience to say the least. 🏼‍♀️
