Focus on the weights you LIFT not the WEIGHT you lose. -I can’t emphasize enough how important strength training is for women’s overall health. Losing weight is just an added bonus!! And I promise YOU WILL NOT BULK UP!!!! There are soooo many benefits to weight lifting, other than losing weight but yes that is one of them!!! While training for triathlons I try hard to continue to incorporate strength training into my routine, but it definitely often gets put on the back burner. I am always surprised how much I miss it when I can’t fit it into my day. I’ve made it a priority again and absolutely love it. I am the first to admit to being a huge cardio addict and LOVE to sweat. But results are often seen more quickly when you slow down, breathe, stretch and LIFT!! 🏼
